Synopsis: In the tradition of Fatal Attraction comes this dazzling action-thriller starring Academy Award® nominee John Malkovich (RED) and Frank Grillo (Avengers: Endgame). After lonely tech millionaire Chris (Cameron Monaghan, “Shameless”) encounters charming, sexy Sky (Lilly Krug), passion grows between them – and when he’s injured, she quickly steps in as his nurse. But Sky’s odd behavior makes Chris suspect that she has more sinister intentions, especially when Sky’s roommate is found dead from mysterious causes.
Shattered is an interesting flick, while not a good nor great it’s still entertaining as in its so bad it’s good kinda vibe. Especially with the way John Malkovich chews up the scenery and Frank Grillo tries to save every scene he’s in. Give us the mixed signals that Shattered is an uneven mess.
It comes across as an exploration flick that Lifetime thrillers are known for nowadays that we’ve been missing since the 60s and 70s but honestly whenever we get one like Shattered we ask ourselves “Do we really miss this exploration film genre?” Sasha Luss is the films only saving grace.
While you can have fun riffing this film with your friends on a drunken rainy or snowy afternoon. However, I can assure it’s not worth to rent it if you want a serious fun time.
