Universal Pictures is bringing back the thrilling action-adventure film Twister with a highly anticipated sequel.

In Twisters, a film helmed by Lee Isaac Chung, the acclaimed writer-director behind Minari, the talented Daisy Edgar-Jones (known for her roles in Where the Crawdads Sing and Normal People) and Glen Powell (recognized for his performances in Anyone But You and Top Gun: Maverick) portray two individuals with conflicting agendas, united in their attempt to anticipate and potentially control the formidable force of tornadoes.
Twisters, showcases a fresh and dynamic ensemble, which includes Brandon Perea from “Nowhere,” Sasha Lane known for her role in “American Honey,” Daryl McCormack from “Peaky Blinders,” Kiernan Shipka from “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” Nik Dodani from “Atypical,” and the talented Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney, acclaimed for her performance in “Beautiful Boy.”
Directed by Lee Isaac Chung and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley, Twisters is a film from Amblin Entertainment. The screenplay for this movie is written by Mark L. Smith, who is known for his work on the Best Picture nominee The Revenant.
Universal Pictures will handle the domestic distribution of Twisters, while Warner Bros. Pictures will be responsible for its international release.
