Today, news surfaced regarding The Conjuring franchise’s expansion. Alongside its inaugural TV series, the series has a fourth mainline film in the works, which the creators have just announced the official title for.
The forthcoming sequel to the feature film will be known as The Conjuring: Last Rites. The upcoming installment of the Conjuring franchise will be authored by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who previously penned The Conjuring 2 and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.
James Wan and Peter Safran, who have been integral to the franchise, are also set to return as producers. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga portray real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring films, which are based on their actual case files.
