‘Night of The Tommyknockers’ Review

Synopsis: When miners blast for gold in the 1870s, they accidentally release ancient creatures known as Tommyknockers. The town of Deer Creek, Nevada, is soon under siege with only a handful of survivors held up in the local saloon.

Night of The Tommyknockers has an incredible cast boosted by a top-notch Richard Grieco as Dirk the leader of a gang of outlaws featuring a scene-stealing Robert LaSardo. The premise of Tommyknockers is not game-changing by any means however, they do have a great set design, and the set pieces are extraordinarily well made.

The relationship between the Mahal brothers and Richard Grieco is in sync here, it seems like each time they’re paired together they bring out the best in each other. While Tommyknockers isn’t as great as Art Of The Dead or Attack of The Unknown. It is an entertaining popcorn flick you can watch and escape with.

Michael Su does a great job directing the film and the cast, the pacing moves rather fast as well. If you’re a fan of Westerns and Creature Features this one should be on your watchlist. Night of The Tommyknockers is out on all digital platforms to buy or rent currently. It’s always nice to see true indie pictures do so good, the Mahal brothers seem to have it figured out.

Overall Grade: 3/5 Stars
