It has been reported that David Koepp has penned a screenplay for a fourth installment in the Jurassic World franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project has been kept relatively secret but has made significant progress, with the script receiving positive feedback. Universal Studios is even speculating a potential release date in 2025.
While lacking specific information, THR describes it as a component of “a fresh era in Jurassic” that would likely exclude the reprisal of characters portrayed by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard from Jurassic World.
Even with a star-studded cast, the movie received unfavorable critiques. However, it managed to generate substantial revenue, surpassing $1 billion globally. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Universal would be interested in producing another installment, despite it being initially planned as the conclusion to the original Jurassic World trilogy.
Furthermore, the fact that the writer of the original Jurassic Park is penning the script adds an extra layer of intrigue for me.
