Filming has commenced for the revival of the beloved Final Destination series, aptly titled Final Destination: Bloodlines.
According to THR, the main cast has recently welcomed three new additions, one of whom is Teo Briones, known for his portrayal of “Chucky” in previous projects.
In the upcoming sixth installment of the horror franchise, Brec Bassinger, known for her role in “Stargirl,” and Kaitlyn Santa Juana, from “The Friendship Game,” will be joining Teo Briones, who previously portrayed Junior Wheeler in season two of “Chucky,” as the main cast members.
The production of the new installment, helmed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, known for their work on “Freaks,” has commenced in Vancouver.
The talented cast includes Richard Harmon, recognized for his roles in “The 100” and “Grave Encounters 2,” along with Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones from “The Book Of Boba Fett,” Rya Kihlstedt from “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” and Tinpo Lee from “The Manor.”
The collaborative effort behind Final Destination: Bloodlines involves the writing talents of Lori Evans Taylor, known for her work on “Wicked Wicked Games,” and Guy Busick, renowned for his contributions to the Scream franchise.
The movie is being produced by Jon Watts, who has made a name for himself with Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Joining him as producers for New Line Cinema are Dianne McGunigle, recognized for her work on Cop Car, as well as Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor, who have previously worked on the Final Destination series.
Marking the return of the beloved franchise after a decade-long hiatus, the upcoming film will be the sixth chapter in this wildly popular series. As with its predecessors, the plot revolves around the relentless pursuit of a group of young survivors by the ominous force known as “Death,” following a harrowing incident that claims multiple lives.
Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the original film, the anticipated release of the latest installment is set for 2025.
