Following his success as the creator of the Netflix horror series “Marianne,” Samuel Bodin ventures back into the genre with the upcoming Lionsgate horror film entitled “Cobweb.” The official trailer for the movie has now been released.
The highly anticipated film, Cobweb, is set to release on July 21st, captivating audiences with its intriguing storyline. The official trailer introduces talented actors Lizzy Caplan, known for her role in “Castle Rock,” and Antony Starr, renowned for his performance in “The Boys,” portraying parents whose trustworthiness is called into question.
“Eight-year-old Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr) could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that?”
Additionally, the cast includes Cleopatra Coleman and Woody Norman in prominent roles.
The movie was penned by Chris Thomas Devlin, and it will be brought to life by Roy Lee’s Vertigo Entertainment and Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver through Point Grey. Executive producers for the film include Andrew Childs and Josh Fagen.
The project for Lionsgate is under the supervision of Jim Miller and Meredith Wieck.
