Jason Blum Unveils First Official Trailer For ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’

Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s is set to be released in theaters by Universal Pictures on October 27th, 2023. Additionally, the film will make its debut on Peacock on the same day as its theatrical release.

Mike Schmidt, a night guard at a local diner finds himself troubled after confronting the truth about the animatronic costumes that reside: they aren’t just robots. They are alive. Will he be able to survive all five nights at this haunted diner? Or is there something more sinister at play here?

Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (known for her work on The Wind and Blood Moon) and written by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback.

Starring in the movie are renowned actors such as Josh Hutcherson (known for Ultraman and The Hunger Games franchise), Matthew Lillard (from Good Girls and Scream), Elizabeth Lail (who has acted in You and Mack & Rita), Kat Conner Sterling (famous for We Have A Ghost and 9-1-1), Piper Rubio (seen in Holly & Ivy and Unstable), and Mary Stuart Masterson (known for Blindspot and Fried Green Tomatoes).

The animatronics of the iconic monster are being managed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The screenplay for Five Nights at Freddy’s was written by Tammi, Scott Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback.

The film is being produced by Blumhouse in collaboration with Striker Entertainment. Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon will be the producers of the film, while Russell Binder will be serving as an executive producer.
