“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” Release Date Gets Pushed Back From March to April 2024

The Monsterverse is set to return to the cinema with the highly anticipated Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

Originally slated for a theatrical premiere on March 15, 2024, the release date for the film has been altered. The highly anticipated release of Godzilla vs. Kong has been rescheduled for April 12, 2024, and will be available exclusively in theaters.

The year 2021 saw the release of “Godzilla vs. Kong” in the Monsterverse, an intricate network of interrelated entertainment franchises. This cinematic event was a true cultural phenomenon and the ultimate showdown in popular culture, as two colossal Titans engaged in an epic battle on the silver screen that shattered global box office records.

After the triumph of “Godzilla vs. Kong,” Adam Wingard, who has risen to prominence as a director, is returning to the Monsterverse.

The cast of the previous film returns, including Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as the beloved Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottle as Jia. Additionally, Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, and Rachel House have been added to the cast.

The author of the screenplay is Simon Barrett, who has also written for films such as You’re Next and The Guest.
