Despite numerous setbacks in the past, it appears that the long-awaited remake of the horror masterpiece Nosferatu by Robert Eggers (known for directing The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman) is now officially in progress. According to the Prague Reporter, production for the film has recently concluded.
As reported by Nosferatu’s website, the filming for the movie was completed in Prague on May 19, after an extensive three-month shoot. The Cinematographer, Jarin Blaschke, has confirmed that the film was shot in color, with a style that is reminiscent of the Romanticism movement from the 19th century, according to the Prague Reporter.
Egger’s enthusiasm for Nosferatu has spanned numerous years, with the project being initially disclosed in 2016. During the course of development, both Anya Taylor-Joy and Harry Styles had been linked to the project, which had floundered on at least two separate occasions.

Robert Eggers’ next movie for Focus Features, “Nosferatu,” will feature a star-studded cast including Willem Dafoe, Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Corrin, and Lily-Rose Depp.
Joining the cast are Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven the Hunter, Simon McBurney known for his role in The Conjuring 2, and Ralph Ineson who starred in The Witch.
According to reports, Bill Skarsgard is set to portray the character of Nosferatu/Count Orlok in the movie.
