There has not been any recent news regarding the upcoming remake of The Crow featuring Bill Skarsgård (known for his role in IT) as Eric Draven.
However, Deadline has provided an exhilarating update this afternoon. According to a report by Deadline, Lionsgate has recently secured the rights to the domestic release of the upcoming remake of “The Crow” for a sum in the eight-figure range.
The report also mentions that the deal was sealed during the late hours of the previous night. According to Deadline, there is an expectation that the film will be released in 2024.
The Crow reboot will be helmed by director Rupert Sanders, who previously directed Snow White and the Huntsman, as well as Ghost in the Shell. The lead role of Eric Draven will be played by Bill Skarsgård, known for his role in IT. Accompanying Skarsgård is FKA Twigs, a singer and actor, in a supporting role, as well as Danny Huston, known for his role in 30 Days of Night. Also featured in the film are Laura Birn from the Foundation, Sami Bouajila from A Son, and Jordan Bolger from The Woman King.
