The trailer showcases a declaration of war by the creatures of the ocean against the human race. The CW will soon air this highly anticipated series, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
According to a report by Deadline, “The Swarm,” an eco-thriller series that was first broadcast in Germany earlier this year, will be making an appearance in the United States this September, courtesy of The CW network.
“The debut of “The Swarm” is scheduled for September 12th at 9 p.m. Eastern Time/Pacific Time on The CW network.
In the first episode depicts a world that has long been afflicted by unbridled pollution and unrelenting climate changes. In this context, a malevolent entity from the depths of the ocean begins to use marine life as its vessels, waging a devastating war against humanity and leaving all in its wake to wonder what is driving this mysterious force.
The forthcoming eight-episode series, produced by Frank Doelger (known for his work on “Game of Thrones”), derives from Frank Schätzing’s renowned novel (known as “Der Schwarm” in German). In 2004, the novel was first released, and two years after that, Uma Thurman obtained the rights to its film adaptation. Unfortunately, the movie was never brought to fruition. Nevertheless, the book did inspire the creation of a board game.
