Mike Flanagan’s latest series for Netflix, “The Fall of the House of Usher,” draws inspiration from the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
Flanagan, known for his horror genre expertise, promises that this series will be a departure from his previous projects, setting it apart from anything he has done before.
The premiere of “The Fall of the House of Usher” is set for October 12, 2023.

This dark and twisted limited series spans 8 episodes and is inspired by the literary works of Edgar Allan Poe. The story follows the ruthless Usher siblings, Roderick and Madeline, who have used their power and wealth to establish Fortunato Pharmaceuticals as a dominant force. However, their past comes back to haunt them when a mysterious woman from their youth begins to systematically kill off the heirs to the Usher fortune.
Carla Gugino, known for her roles in “Gerald’s Game” and “The Haunting of Hill House,” will join a talented ensemble cast for an upcoming project. Other cast members include Mary McDonnell, known for her work in “Scream 4,” Carl Lumbly from “Doctor Sleep,” and Mark Hamill. The role of Roderick Usher will be portrayed by Bruce Greenwood, known for his performance in Gerald’s Game.

The direction of four episodes of “Usher” was split equally between Mike Flanagan and Michael Fimognari, with each directing an identical number of episodes.
