The horror film Talk to Me, helmed by the Philippou brothers Danny and Michael, has amassed an impressive $26 million globally for A24 over the past few weeks.
Recently, A24 has confirmed that a sequel to ‘Talk to Me’ has been given the go-ahead. A24 has enlisted Danny and Michael Philippou, the Australian duo who rose to fame with their YouTube channel RackaRacka in 2013, to once again direct ‘Talk 2 Me’.
The screenplay for the upcoming project “Talk to Me” is being written collaboratively by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman.
The production budget for Talk to Me was reportedly only $4.5 million, yet the movie was able to recoup this amount on its very first day of release. A24 acquired the movie from Sundance for a substantial amount, rumored to be in the “high seven figures.” It appears that this investment has paid off handsomely for the production company.
