Daily Mail UK has recently shared some photos from the set of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2, which is currently being filmed in England.
The pictures, which are captured by paparazzi, were taken this afternoon and provide us with a glimpse of Winona Ryder reprising her role as Lydia Deetz.
Lydia is an iconic character whom Winona Ryder played over 35 years ago in Tim Burton’s first Beetlejuice movie.
The sequel is set to be released in theaters by Warner Bros. on the 6th of September in 2024.
The highly anticipated sequel will feature the return of Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, alongside Michael Keaton, and will also introduce Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday,” “Scream VI”) to the cast. The role of Beetlejuice’s wife will be portrayed by Monica Bellucci (known for her role in Irreversible). While there are no specifics on the plot as of yet, it is confirmed that Winona Ryder will be reprising her role as Lydia Deetz, with Jenna Ortega playing her daughter. In addition to the cast already assembled, Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux have also been brought on board, and the film’s score will be composed by Danny Elfman, a frequent collaborator with director Burton.
