“Sanctuary,” a new dark comedy, follows the story of Rebecca (played by Emmy Award® nominee Margaret Qualley), a dominatrix, and her wealthy client, Hal (Christopher Abbott), as they engage in a high-stakes role-playing game for power and control.
After inheriting his father’s hotel chain, Hal attempts to end his long and secret relationship with Rebecca. What ensues is a battle of wills over the course of one incredibly fraught night, with both Rebecca and Hal struggling to keep the upper hand as power dynamics swing wildly back and forth.
Directed by Zachary Wigon, “Sanctuary” promises to deliver a wickedly entertaining ride filled with unexpected twists and turns. The film features standout performances from its two leads, as they navigate the complex and dangerous game they find themselves playing.
