The highly successful horror film Smile, produced by Paramount, will be receiving a sequel this Halloween, titled Smile 2, under the direction of Parker Finn.
Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation this afternoon unveiled the first details of the plot.
The preview clip for Smile 2 captivated audiences with its spotlight on a fresh addition to the cast, Naomi Scott, portraying a renowned musician whose lavish lifestyle is on the brink of descending into darkness. Amidst captivating glimpses of her electrifying pop star performances, the footage took an unexpected turn as Scott’s character was taken aback by the unsettling presence of Lukas Gage’s character, who intruded into her dressing room and bestowed upon her an eerie, unsettling smile.
Joining the cast of Smile 2 are Kyle Gallner, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Dylan Gelula, Raúl Castillo, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley, who have all made a name for themselves in various projects such as “The Staircase,” “The White Lotus,” “Dream Scenario,” “Army of the Dead,” and “The Wilds.”
Smile 2 has its release date set for October 18, 2024.
